Hit -n- Miss Farm
"Home of the Ennobled Neutron"
ANTIQUE TRACTORS
We have been actively involved in antique tractors, hit n miss gas engines and parts for over 25 years. I have restored
over 25 tractors, mostly John Deere, but have also restored Farmall, Massey Harris, Minneapolis Moline, Case and an Avery. My most
recent restorations include a 1936 John Deere BO and a 1937 John Deere B. We also still use some of the old 2 cylinder John Deere’s
here on the farm during hay season. I grew up on the old 2 cylinders and have been fortunate enough to be able to track down and purchase
a 1928 GP and a 1952 A that my father had here on the farm that I used a lot when I was a kid. I have also rolled over 10,000 rolls
of hay for my uncle on his John Deere 60, back in the 70’s and early 80’s. The 60 and a New Holland 5 x 5 hay roller were a great
combination, and way back then I didn’t seem to mind the sun or the heat as much. We occasionally do restoration work for customers
as time permits, and have done anything from minor mechanical work to complete rebuilds including sandblasting, and paint and bodywork.
We also rebuild WICO magneto’s and DLTX carburetors for the 2 cylinder tractors. Our current collection consists of: 1936 JD – B,
1936 JD – BO, 1928 JD – GP, 1934 JD – GP, 1952 JD – A, 1951 JD – B, 1937 JD – A, and a 1949 8N Ford that belonged to my great grandfather.
